Do you ever get queasy riding in a car, bus, or train? If so, a newly invented pair of liquid-filled eyewear may provide a cure. Motion sickness occurs when there’s a conflict between the movement a person sees and that which his or her body feels. The glasses work to cancel out this sensation. A person watches the liquid in the frames move with each bump in the road or railroad track, which matches how his or her body jolts and jostles. “This resynchronizes the eyes with your body’s balance system,” says Antoine Jeannin, the head of the French company Boarding Ring, which makes the specs. “You can then enjoy the rest of your trip.”
